Christmas Market
When and Where: Belfast City Hall, 18 November – 23 December
Cost: Free
For the thirteenth year running, the Christmas Markets will be returning to City Hall. Get yourself into the Christmas spirit by browsing the stalls offering an array of handmade arts and crafts, enjoy some delicious food while you walk around, or give your feet a rest while sampling a warming festive beverage.
Santa’s Grotto and Post Box
When and Where: Belfast City Hall, 18 November – 23 December
Cost: Post box is free; £10 for the grotto
The ginger-bread themed grotto, located within the Market grounds, is a magical place for the younger members of the family. Each meeting with Santa includes a present and a photograph for you to take away as a memento of the occasion. Don’t forget to bring your letter to Santa with you; pop it in the post box located in the Market by 19th December, and you will receive a letter back!
Coca-Cola Christmas Truck
When and Where: The SSE Arena, 6 December
Cost: Free
For some, seeing the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck advert on television is the official start of the festive season. This year you can go one better by seeing the 13 tonne truck in person as it pulls into Belfast on December 6th
Yeti Cave
When and Where: White Stuff, 1 – 24 December
Cost: £3
For something a bit different to the traditional Santa’s Grotto, why not pay a visit to the Yeti cave? Every weekend in December until Christmas Eve you have the chance to meet a real life yeti and take away a souvenir photo and gift as a reminder of the occasion.
Window Reindeer Hunt
When and Where: Across the city centre, 25 November – 9 December
Cost: Free
A chance to explore the streets of Belfast while tracking down Santa and his reindeer who will be displayed in windows across the city. There are prizes to be won for those participating on social media so keep your eyes peeled as you walk around and you could find yourself with an early Christmas present.
Santa Paws
When and Where: The Dirty Onion, 3 December 2.00pm – 6.00pm
Cost: Free; Grotto £10
An event no dog-lover will want to miss. The Dirty Onion is inviting owners to bring along their furry companions for an afternoon of Christmassy fun. There is a grotto where your pet can receive a present and have their photograph taken with Santa himself.
DERRY-LONDONDERRY
Coca-Cola Christmas Truck
When and Where: Foyleside Shopping Centre, December 7
Cost: Free
After making a stop in Belfast the day before, the famous Coca-Cola Christmas truck steers its way into Derry-Londonderry. With complementary cans of Coca-Cola on offer as well as plenty of time for selfies, this is an event not to be missed.
Sound of Light Christmas Procession
When and Where: Starts from Bishop Street, 1 December, 6.00pm
Cost: Free
The Sound of Light Christmas Procession returns for its third year. Taking in cultural and historic landmarks along the way, the procession includes lights, music and performance pieces.
Christmas Markets
When and Where: Guildhall Square, 14 – 15 December

With a range of crafts and gifts available to purchase, a walk through the Walled City Christmas Markets is the perfect way to get into the festive spirit.
LISBURN
Rock Around the Christmas Tree
When and Where: Market Square, 14 December, 5.00pm
Cost: Free
Lisburn’s Rock Around the Christmas Tree is becoming an annual tradition. Now in its third year, the event starts with a glow trail throughout the city centre, and ends with a glow in the dark disco on the light floor in Market Square.
Christmas Farmers Market
When and Where: The Inns, 16 December 10.00am – 2.00pm

The Christmas Farmers Market at The Inns is the perfect place to stock up on food in anticipation of your Christmas dinner. With a variety of stalls selling local produce and an array of festive delights, this is one you will not want to miss.
